By booking with Trip Highland, you agree to these terms. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
1. Booking and Deposit
A 20% advance deposit of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking. Your booking is confirmed only after we receive the deposit and send you a written confirmation.
2. Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid in full before the trek begins, by arrival in Pokhara/Kathmandu. Any bank or transfer charges are paid by the traveler.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
If you cancel your booking, a cancellation fee of 10% of the total booking amount applies. We refund the rest of the amount you have paid, within 20 working days, to your original payment method.
For example, if the total trip cost is $1,000 and you have paid the $200 deposit, we keep $100 and refund $100.
To cancel, please notify us in writing by email or WhatsApp. The date we receive your message is the cancellation date.
4. Safety and Itinerary Changes
Your safety comes first. Itineraries may change because of severe weather, natural disasters, landslides, trail conditions, flight disruptions, or safety concerns. If this happens, our guide and team will arrange the best possible alternative route or schedule.
Our guides have the final say on safety decisions during the trip, including turning back or stopping the trek. Extra costs caused by changes outside our control, such as additional accommodation, transport, or rescue, are to be covered by the traveler as agreed.
5. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that every traveler has insurance covering high-altitude trekking, medical care, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation, with cover for the altitude of your chosen route.
6. Traveler Responsibilities
Please give us accurate personal and health information, carry valid travel documents, and follow your guide’s instructions during the trip.
